Welcome Back!
Refer to the JFHS main webpage regarding Meningococcal vaccine requirements for rising 12th graders.

The JF nurse will be available the week of August 3rd. Please call and schedule an appt. if you need to drop off medications. Care plans can be dropped off at the front desk.

If your child is experiencing fever, fatigue, cough, GI symptoms, headaches or body aches, please keep them home and contact the school nurse for further guidance. If anyone in your home has a known exposure or tests positive for COVID, keep your child/children home & please contact the school nurse so that proper contact tracing can be done.

Warmer Weather brings mosquitoes, ticks and fleas!
Avoid the possible spread of viruses or illnesses by prevention:
-Eliminate standing water around your home.
-Use insect repellents (
-Treat domesticated animals for fleas.

Please make an appointment with the nurse to bring any necessary supplies or medications to the clinic.

Due to COVID-19 and recommendations from the CDC, inhalers can not be used in the classrooms and nebulizer treatments can not be administered at school. If your child/ children need to use their inhaler they will need to go to the clinic and a spacer should be utilized.

Please stay safe and well!

Do you understand the risks of Vaping, Juuling, E-cigs? Do you discuss this with your child/ children?

Let's save lives and have a conversation with them!

All children should be fever free for 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications) before returning to school.

Students may carry cough drops with them but SHOULD NOT share with other students.

Please Remember:

  • All students need an Emergency Card on file in order to participate in field trips.
  • If your child/children are going on an overnight field trip, make sure to have the Medication Administration form filled out for any medications they need while on their trip. A form is required for each medication.
  • Please have the appropriate medical forms on file in the clinic if your child/children have medical conditions.
  • All medication forms expire each school year, including the acetaminophen and antihistamine forms.
  • Please register your child/children in CareDox. This is our electronic charting system that notifies you of treatment provided to your child/children. CareDox is HIPAA & FERPA compliant. If you would like to register, email CareDox at

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the clinic and talk with a nurse anytime during the school day.

Stay healthy and happy and remember to wash your hands!
