Kim Morris
Greetings, Cavaliers! I am thrilled to be returning to the Forest Zone after a sabbatical in different areas of the Bedford County Public School District.
As some of you may know, I began my career twenty-five years ago in the Forest Zone as a part-time special education aide, remediation aide, and substitute teacher while I worked to complete my Bachelor’s Degree requirements. Once completed, I transitioned to a full-time teacher and reading remediation specialist. I worked full time while pursuing my Master’s Degree in School Administration and Leadership which lead to administrative positions at the elementary, middle, and district levels. Ready for a new challenge, I can’t wait to get to know the Cavaliers!
My educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with many passionate people where we generated and ultimately met the common goals of increasing student achievement and well-being. My educational philosophy is based on the steadfast belief that, given a positive learning environment, a committed and focused educational team, an engaged and encouraging community, and a supportive family, all students can learn.
