During Mrs. Hancock's 18 years in education she has served as an elementary teacher and middle school English, Science and Math teacher. Most recently, Mrs. Hancock served as the Lead Teacher for Instruction at Jefferson Forest High School.  She has also served as a Supervisor for Professional Learning, Coordinator for Student Learning and Success, Thinking Maps trainer, Department Chair, School Improvement Team Member and Mentor teacher. In 2008, Mrs. Hancock became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Middle Childhood Generalist. 
Mrs. Hancock earned a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with an Early Childhood Education concentration from Virginia Tech in 2001 as well as a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Tech in 2003. She earned a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a PK-12 Administration and Supervisory focus from Lynchburg College.


Mrs. Hancock resides in Forest, VA with her husband, Kenneth, and two children, Kennedy and Tyler.
