Welcome to Jefferson Forest High School, located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Jefferson Forest is a comprehensive, four-year high school that offers college preparatory, general and special education, and career as well as technical and cooperative education courses. JF is accredited by the State of Virginia, having met all SOL and AYP standards. The Washington Post has recognized JF as one of the top high schools in the nation.

Jefferson Forest has continued to maintain a strong tradition of excellence. Over the past years the JF community has worked to create an environment that fosters high achievement in all areas, academics, creative arts, and athletics. We uphold high expectations for our staff and students.  We not only have an excellent staff and student body because of our expectations, but we also have a well-equipped, newly renovated facility. Included in this recent renovation are a new science/math wing, gymnasium, and auditorium. We envision Jefferson Forest becoming the premier comprehensive high school in Central Virginia.

Our focus as a school community is on continued excellence and improvement in academics, arts, and athletics. In this way we continue to exemplify our CAVALIER PRIDE!
