Check in for Students / Excused and Unexcused Tardies

Students coming in late must report to the attendance office for a tardy pass into class with a written note from a parent/guardian, doctor’s visit excuse or court document.  The note from the parent/guardian will be evaluated and a determination made as to whether the tardy will be excused or unexcused.

Students returning from Governor’s School and dual enrollment classes must sign in at the main lobby desk.

Early Dismissal Procedures

Students who need to leave school early must bring a written note signed by a parent or guardian to the attendance office before 8:55 am.  The request will be evaluated and a determination made as to whether the early dismissal will be excused or unexcused.  The student is to present the early dismissal slip given by the attendance office to the teacher at the time of the early dismissal.  Parents should make phone calls for dismissals only in the case of emergencies.  Students will be released only to a parent/guardian or a parent’s designee noted on the student’s emergency card.
