Driver's Education

The classroom portion of Driver Education is completed during the first semester of 10th grade Health/PE. After passing the 36-hour course and having at least 30 hours logged in the 45-hour log during Learner Permit stage, students are then able to complete the in-car instruction called Behind the Wheel.

Behind the Wheel takes place either before school (7:00-8:45am) or after school (4:00-5:45) for seven days. Fridays, weekends, and school holidays are excluded. The cost is $250, but can be paid installments and at least a $25 down payment (or can be paid in full at registration). Forms may be picked up in the Driver Education office every morning between 8:30-8:55 a.m.

Students must register in person with Mr. Steve Mills, Driver Education Coordinator, in the Driver Ed office located Between C and D Halls. Mr. Mills office hours are 8:30-8:55 a.m., Monday-Friday each week.
