Bands at Jefferson Forest High School. While at JF, he has elevated the band program to a level of national prominence. Among the band program's accolades are 3 performances in the London (UK) New Year's Day Parade, a performance in the Cabalgata del Reyes (https://www.miradormadrid.com/cabalgata-de-reyes-madrid/) in Madrid, Spain, 3 performances at the Virginia Music Educators Association Conference (2005, 2010, 2019), 2 performances as a Featured Band at the Music For All National Concert Festival (2012 & 2018), and 9 Virginia Honor Band awards. Mr. Webb has twice been recognized with the National Band Association's "Citation of Excellence", and is active as a guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.  In 2013, Mr. Webb was elected to both the American School Band Directors Association and Phi Beta Mu (the International Bandmasters Fraternity), and was named a Legion of Honor Laureate by the John Philip Sousa Society and Band World Magazine.
Prior to taking his current position at JF, Mr. Webb served as band director at Linkhorne Middle School in Lynchburg, VA from 1992-98, & Marion County High School in Jasper, TN from 1990-92. During his tenure at Jefferson Forest, the program has grown from 115 students to the current enrollment of 200. His duties include conducting 3 concert bands, arranging for the marching band, coordinating & directing the marching band, and teaching AP Music Theory. The bands from Jefferson Forest consistently receive "Superior" ratings and 1st Place awards at marching & concert festivals and competitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Webb teaches private euphonium lessons and has served as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Lynchburg. Mr. Webb graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Education with certification in Instrumental Music. Mr. Webb & his wife Karen live in Forest. They have two daughters—Audrey, age 21, and Olivia, age 17. All four are dedicated, rabid, and unwavering Tennessee Volunteer football fans. (update....oldest daughter now attends University of Alabama, and youngest wants to go there as well.....which is all good as long as UA keeps paying for it!)
