Entering Grade 11 AP English Language and Composition 2015 - 2016
The optional summer reading for Grade 11 AP includes annotating one memoir. All items must be completed by the first day of school and turned in on that day to receive extra credit. None of the following is required although many students like starting the year off with extra credit in their average. You may also blog on these memoirs on my website.
Summer Enrichment Reading:
Read and annotate one memoir. Be sure to have parental approval of your book choice. Turn in annotated book on the first day of school for extra credit. You may use post it notes or write in the book. Annotate for author’s style including compelling diction, syntax, detail, imagery, tone, figurative language, pathos, ethos, logos, fallacies, parts of argument and anything that strikes YOU!
